Free Meals

The center offers free meals to patients twice daily, benefiting thousands. During Ramadan, it extends this generosity, providing free iftar and suhoor meals.

Free Medicines

The CH Centre's free medicine distribution center offers medications to needy patients with valid prescriptions, requiring no formal application process.

Ambulance Services

The Centre operates eight ambulances providing free services for the needy and impoverished, with ICU ambulance service available 24/7 at fair rates.

Diagnostic Centre

The Shihab Thangal Diagnostic Centre offers CT Scan, Ultra Sound Scan, and Colour Droplet services at government medical college rates, with free access for poor patients.

Free Dialysis

India's First Free Dialysis Center

The Shihab Thangal Dialysis Centre, started by the CH Centre in the four-storied building in 2010, can claim to be the first-ever Community Dialysis Center in the country. Equipped with 17 dialysis machines and staffed with 30 well-trained personnel, the centre provides dialysis to more than fifty renal patients daily in three shifts absolutely free of cost.

Palliative Care

The CH Centre also focuses on palliative care, with the Pookoya Thangal Hospice dedicated to providing palliative care for individuals with life-threatening illnesses. This hospice operates in a separate block adjacent to the main Centre. It includes a palliative trauma care unit, an inpatient (IP) and outpatient (OP) facility, a physical therapy center, and dormitory facilities for those traveling from distant areas. Additionally, the hospice offers comprehensive support services for both patients and their families, ensuring holistic care.
